Yes, this blog has been a bit lighthearted recently. BUT, I am still paying attention, sort of. Here are a few recent events, comments, etc. that made me rant to folks in real life. -

People who cast a vote for Bush but now complain about policies and real life events that are happening because of this administration (e.g. restricting reproductive rights). When someone calls them on this blatant contradiction, the response is - I would have voted for another Democrat, say Edwards, but I did not like Kerry.
Come on now, that excuse is so very lame and ignorant. Please don’t insult my intelligence.

Die-hard republicans who feel the need to tell people to calm down, and get over the election. To get on with their lives. To say Red won, Blue lost, now stop whining.
I would have to agree that whining is annoying when you are not the whiner, but whining is also a necessary coping mechanism. People deserve to have a little time to get over defeat - shit, the election was less than 3 weeks ago!

Unnecessary Violence

These items can stand alone.
*A 14 year old boy died in Iran because he was found guilty of breaking his fast during the month of Ramadan.
*Racially motivated thuggery at a Corvallis, Oregon cafe.
Latest on that fight.
