Gardenburger was a historic company...it points out the difficulty faced by the little guy in this big corporate world. Those remarks were made in The Oregonian (article not online) by Seth Tibbott, president and majority owner of Turtle Island Foods. He is commenting on Gardenburger's decision to file for bankruptcy.
The carb-craze reason stated in the LA Times piece is lame and overused these days. The LA times article also mentions that Gardenburger hopes to emerge as a "simpler and more efficient vegetarian foods company" after the bankruptcy.
I hope so. Gardenburger (Riblets) and Dr. Praeger's (California Burger) are my favorites.
