House Update
Still don't have a closing date, but we are getting closer. Sellers are meeting me half way on the furnace. Yay!
We hired company to do another tank locate and they found an underground oil tank (I am the only one not surprised). Originally the sellers said they would take care of all of it, but not they say differently.
Once a tank is emptied of oil, actual decommissioning is voluntary. But DEQ STRONGLY recommends that the tank become permanently decommissioned. The sellers are stopping short of this last step since they heard the word voluntary. Hopefully we can meet half way on this too. Keeping fingers crossed...

When we moved in, it wasn't even a question: If there was a decommissioned tank, it would have to be done before we'd sign. And there was one, but it wasn't an oil tank -- it was a septic tank. Now it's all taken care of.
I hope they meet you halfway on that. I don't know how expensive it is, but I hope it's not too bad for you.
