5. Con Ed -- Matthew Klein (June)
6. Duplicity Dogged the Dachshund The Second Dixie Hemingway Mystery -- Blaize Clement (July)
7. The Good Daughter: An Angela Matelli Mystery -- Wendi Lee (July)
8. Skinny Dip -- Carl Hiaasen (August)
9. Little Chapel On The River A Pub, A Town, And the search for what matters most -- Gwendolyn Bounds (Sept.)
10. Ultraviolet -- Nancy Bush (Oct.)
11. Eat, Pray, Love One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia -- Elizabeth Gilbert (Oct. - Dec.)

Books 2006
I've continued my push to read more books. In fact, I surpassed this year's goal.
KM will be proud, she was the one person that pooh-poohed my 8.5 book goal (up one from last year) and urged me to read an even 10. Of course, I refused to commit to that number on the spot, and of course, I am now proud to have reached it.
My 10.5 book (3,021 pages)list.
Sorry, no annotations this year. I will say I was surprised with the amount of non-fiction I read.
The 1/2. FINALLY finished Motoring w/ Mohammed by Eric Hansen in March.
1. Candy Apple Red - Nancy Bush (Feb./march)
2. Cowboys are my Weakness - Pam Houston (March)
3. Sea Glass - Anita Shreve (July)
4. The Bird Man and the Lap Dancer: Close Encounters with Strangers -Eric Hansen (July)
5. Curiosity Killed the Cat Sitter - Blaize Clement (July 31-Aug.2)
6. Angela's Ashes - Frank McCourt (August)
7. In Summer - Jeremy Jackson (Sept.)
8. Electric Blue - Nancy Bush (Nov.)
9. Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance - Barack Obama (Dec.)
10. Tuesdays with Morrie: An Old Man, A Young Man, and Life's Greatest Lesson - Mitch Albom (Dec.)
PS: For those of you (MC) who read 5 books during one vacation - please don't judge.
PSS: My 2007 goal is twelve.

Movies and the Golden Globes
Another reminder that I have not seen many movies this year (sigh). Of all the nominees I have only seen Thank You for Smoking and Little Miss Sunshine. They are both absolutely wonderful - my two favorite movies this year. :)
I do hope to see Queen and possibly Departed.

For the love of family, friends, and music...
I have burned 2 CD's in as many days. The first was a baby shower gift. It included Rosemary Clooney, Thank Heaven for Little Girls and Isaac Hayes, The First Time Ever I Saw your Face. Additional tracks by Ben Folds, Harry Nilsson, Ane Brun, Lux, Macy Gracy and other lullaby like songs. The second is a Christmas present for my soon to be 12 year old (or is it 11?) niece. Her CD had a total different vibe, it is mainly high energy and includes Justin Timberlake's Sexy Back (rapidly becoming a guilty pleasure of mine) and Say it Right by Nelly Furtado. There is also a couple of tracks by Fergie, Beyonce, Gwen, etc.
Creating these masterpieces takes lots of thought and time on my part, but there is more to it then just the music - there is the presentation too. At first look I was intimidated by this whole process, then I found Audio Label.
This software labeling software is SO easy to use AND they are currently offering a 15 day trial. Sweet! Thank you Audio Label for making my labor of love look good too.
